Sorry, You’re Not My Type is my first Sudeep Nagarkar book and having read his work now, I must say that the author’s reputation indeed precedes his work.

In our lives, we come across many people who have a story to tell. Some people’s stories invoke curiosity in us, while some invoke pity or empathy.

Even other’s leave us puzzled or thoughtful, but only a few have the capability to touch our hearts. This book is about one such story that will indeed touch one’s heart.

VAYU is one of the most sought-after college music bands in Delhi. Belonging to the prestigious Rajhans College of Delhi University, the band has already created waves among all youngsters and music lovers of Delhi.

Comprising of three vivacious youngsters – Vikrant, Anamika and Yuvi, the band is all set for its final test at the annual music festival at Delhi University.

But will all go well for VAYU? Will they be able to relive their magic at the altar of the “it” music event of the year?

Vikrant, Anamika and Yuvi come from different backgrounds and families and though being very close to one another, they lead their personal lives with their own set of girlfriends, boyfriends and other acquaintances.

But given their strong bond and friendship, one person will change the course of their lives in ways they could have never imagined. This person is Aditya and how he changes the whole game for VAYU is only for you to find out.

In this tantalizing tale of love, romance, drama, betrayal, hatred, friendship and much more, you will surely find yourself engrossed till the very end.

Speaking about the positives of Sorry, You’re Not My Type, I liked the plot. It is a simple yet interesting plot which is full of surprises at every twist and turns, and what is more fascinating is that the plot at no point of time creates confusion in the mind of the readers.

What I also like about the book is its ability to connect with the urban youth of today. The language, the conversations and the plot itself are such that the one can easily identify with it.

The climax is also interesting and quite unpredictable; at no point in time, I could have guessed that what happened could actually have happened.

Also interesting are the other characters of Kashish, Anurag, Sanaya etc.

In the end, like an icing on the cake is the absolutely gorgeous book cover. It’s mesmerizing and enchanting feel, being simply beyond words.

A sweet story of love, betrayal and friendship, Sorry, You’re Not My Type is definitely a good read and I, therefore, recommend it to all my readers.

As far as I am concerned, I am definitely going to buy and read Sudeep Nagarkar’s other works for he sure is one author to look forward to.
