What would you do if you lost your friend?

How far would you travel to find your friend?

Hi friends, today I’ve come with the review of Finding Tree written by Geeta Dharmarajan and illustrated by Rajiv Eipe. I got this book from Katha Books. I am very grateful to them for giving me such a beautiful book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is about a sweet little girl named Nachi who travels to Emmeloka to find her beloved tree after it goes missing. This book’s genre is children’s fiction and adventure fiction. I love the book’s title as it seems so cool.

Finding Tree has many themes like grandmother-granddaughter love, adventure in distant lands, love for nature, and the power of friendship.

The main character is Nachi. She is a young girl who sets off on a very interesting adventure along with the Emmeraja, the God of Death. My favourite among all the characters is Emmeraja because she is very kind and caring. She likes to help people in their needs.

This book is good for children between the ages of 6 to 9 years.

I liked the book as it is written in a very attractive way. In a way, this book is also a very sad read because I felt the pain of Nachi when she cried over her dead tree. It reminded me of the time when my lovely pet dogs – Argo and Haachi – had died.

My favourite part comes when Nachi finds her tree’s babies because that makes her feel very happy. The illustrations are very colourful and vibrant.

I love how Finding Tree shows us to be determined and focused on our goals. I also love the fantasy elements of the book including the world in a pebble, devils, flying trees, flying horses, flying elephants, and flying dancers. They create a very entertaining story and make very eye-catching illustrations.

Finding Tree is a short read spanning 75 pages including many full-page illustrations, and I loved reading every bit of it. I recommend it to all young readers from ages 6 to 9, and to those who like short books about fantasy and nature.
